Installing the LeMans gas cap!

One of the distinctive characteristics of the Shelby Cobra is its gas cap. It is a beautiful piece of equipment that serves a key function.

Here are all the pieces:

Here is the indentation in the body where the cap will go:

I bored four holes in the gas cap bracket as shown.

I cut this hole in the center of the indentation, smaller than the full diameter.

I also drilled four holes into this piece which fits below the body.

Here is the bracket connected to the fuel tank inlet. Note the vent return line hose as well.

Installing brake+clutch pedals and master cylinders

Next up: the brake and clutch pedals. They come in a set as shown here, and there are a total of three master cylinders (one for the clutch, one for front brakes, and one for rear brakes). Note the metal bracket on the left; it will play a key role.

I cut the drivers side web out to make access easier.

Here are the master cylinders. I labeled them and then attached the smaller reservoirs in a process that involved a blow dryer!
